Servitor (Holiness) – Serves the Isys’ir and the church as a whole. This role is intended as a position of supreme humility.
The Current Servitor is His Holiness Valdemar XII.
Cardinal (Grace) – In charge of a cathedral (national/capital city).
Cardinal Duarte IX oversees Calcinam and Northern Bloc.
Archbishop (Preeminence) – Oversees an archdiocese (several cities or states).
Archbishop Nikolai IV oversees Aracosa Island and Jamestown. Archbishop Malcom III oversees Brümmenberg and the Western Reaches.
Bishop (Eminence) – Oversees a diocese (large region – single city).
Bishop Logan VI oversees Jamestown.
Prelate / Prelate Inquisitor (Reverence) – Administrative (Prelature of the Inquisition)
Vicar / High Inquisitor (Honorence) – Oversees a chapter (parish / small region).
Vicar Tabor Ashwell oversees Moringen.
Deacon / Inquisitor (Benefice) – Works in a chapter (individual temple).
The Inquisition (Prelature of the Inquisition) – The military arm of the church. Used when force is needed to protect church assets or seek out heresy.
The Curia (Curian Prelature) – Admin department of a particular segment in the church hierarchy. e.g. Diocesan Curia, Chaptarian Curia or Curia Cathedralis.
The Scildia (SILL-dee-UH) (Prelatus Scildia) – The elite guard of the church, who are only found within the cathedrals. Made up of veteran inquisitors who have completed their mission, and it is a position of great honor. However, some inquisitors may choose not to join the Scildia and continue with their duties.
Prelate Demetria is the current commander of the Scildia Cathedralis of Calcinam.
Stonespeakers – The keepers of the chronicles in the cathedrals. They are well versed in the ancient languages. Particularly ur-Deutsch, Latium and Hellan.
Stonespeaker Reed Bartram is the head of the Calcinam Archives.
Cleri – This is what the church calls its representatives. “A retinue of Isylorian Cleri are arriving with the Archbishop.”
