A portmanteau of Cybernetic and Bionic. In Imperium, this refers to any kind of electromechanical device implanted in or on a human body. Which can range from muscle enhancements, to replacement limbs, or artificial organs.
They are graded from Alpha to Sigma (Alpha-Beta-Gamma-Delta-Sigma).
Alphatech Cyberonics are crude, metallic, and bulky, but reliable and easy to maintain.
Deltatech is top of the line cyberonic parts. Sleek, covered in artificial skin, but requires expensive maintenance.
Sigmatech stands apart from the others. It’s nearly organic, but still artificial. While not as strong as standard cyberonics, it can be implanted and left without maintenance for very long periods (several years), working seamlessly with the body’s natural functions.
