Colloquial term for the Second Realm, Third Realm, and Fourth Realm. Not because of their proximity to reality, rather they are fundamentally different than The Hub.
The near-realms are filled with Lebenflus and are relatively easy to access. Both through Magic and Inter-Realm Constructs. Getting beyond the second realm, into the Hub, is substantially more difficult.
Only through portals created by the original Kybahl Device and more recently, the Deitech Liminal Constructs, has the Hub itself been accessed. Hubspace itself is “outside” the Hub, but still contains Voldeflus, thus making Naked Portals during Transits, is just as dangerous as actually opening a portal to the Hub.
