TASCOM is both technically a corporation and in independent commerce and transport organization. They were founded by the Saigatani Federation in 2190 PC, intended to create a modern version of the old ICL.
They operate over 3000 ships, 1/3 are combat vessels. Which is far more than any other government’s defense fleet.
Although closely aligned with Northern Bloc, they have done their best to remain independent from them.
