The public database is up-to-date. There are still a few things in the internal database which have been omitted, but they were mostly unfinished entries and notes.
I think all the links are cleaned up from the original markdown format. I may have missed a few, but I hope not. I’ve been working on this late into the night and who knows what my brain missed.
A note on spoilers: I’ve taken most of the specific info about the novels and other mysteries out of the public database. There are still quite a few spoilers, if you look for them, and understand the context. Be aware of this while browsing.
Things to do:
- Planetary maps of the Core Worlds. I’m about half done, two need edits, two more need their textures applied.
- Corporate logos. I paused work on those a while ago, as it was time consuming and not the most important thing to be working on.
- Cleaning up some entries and making things more clear. There are some things that could use a meta entry, consolidating everything in the same subcategory for ease of reference.
- The timeline. This is still unfinished. I rewrote it a while ago and many of the dates are based on that, but I need to clean it up and fill in some gaps. As well as putting all the dates from the database on it (as they were added later). I may start putting it together in Aeon Timeline, that’s a fun app to play with.
- Figure out some way to alpha sort by default. This doesn’t seem to be a thing in WordPress. I’ve looked into ways of messing with the php/css, but it doesn’t seem to work. There are plugins that will let me do custom orders, but there’s a lot of entries. I used one that set all the creation dates to the same date/time, but all that did was make everything even more mixed up. Oh well.
- Other stuff? This whole thing is a work in progress (probably always will be). I’ve now given myself extra work by having both an internal database and a public database to maintain. I don’t know why I do this to myself.
Lastly. I call this a public database, but I’m not going to spread it around much at present. However, it’s out there on the internet for anyone to find. Please be kind to my baby.
Edit: And of course I just made a bunch of changes to the tech/equipment section. I’ll get around to updating this database when I get a chance. I’m… tired right now. Goodnight.
